Hey, thanks for checking out the list! I don’t think season 8 is the best season or anything like that (I think it’s the second weakest overall) but I’m definitely more forgiving towards it than most people. I think, by the end, I know I would have been happy so long as the writers stuck to the themes of the show — to deconstruct power, greed, and fantasy storytelling — and brought everything to a logical conclusion. In the end, that’s what they achieved. Was it too condensed and a little rushed? Yep. Were some story beats clumsy compared to others? Definitely. But was it still entertaining and brutal in the way that only Game of Thrones can be? Absolutely.
